This spring activated foothold bear snare is a safe way to catch black
bear. It is used by biologists and the Maine Department of Inland
Fisheries and Wildlife for safe release to the bear after studies are
done. It has been used to safely catch and release over 200 bear in the
last 5 years.
By law, each
individual can set 1 foothold snares, which we provide.
